Why individual therapy?

There are many reasons why the idea of individual therapy is inviting.

Often, there are things that might have been under the radar or might have been under our control in the past. But now it is coming out in the open, and our control of it is slipping or has already slipped.

This could be sadness, anger, worries, panic or even a combination of these and more. Along with these difficult emotions are difficult experiences such as trouble with sleep, eating, breathing, energy, motivation, etc. This list goes on and on.

You are now unsure when these difficult experiences will show up, how long they will stay, or how distressing they will be.

What do I do now?

Or, is this going to be my life from now on?

You then try different things, talk to some people, or even Google these things. But the answers are not clear. The things you are trying are not working as well as you want, if they are working at all.
